As a speaker in a live event, you may be asked to present live, and there are two platforms within iVent which are used to deliver live presentations. We have prepared several guides to help get to know them better, and in this article, we are going to distinguish between two main platforms - webcasts and Collab Spaces.
How do I know if I am presenting in a Collab Space or Webcast?
Distinguishing between the two is quite simple.
1️⃣ The URL of a Collab Space will always start with https://webinar.online-event.co whereas a webcast URL will usually have an event name in the URL before .online-event.co i.e. conference2020.online-event.co.
2️⃣ The interface of a webcast would look something like the below, which is different from what a Collab Space would look like.
Webcast window after a successful login
A row of icons will be shown at the bottom and if you have presenter rights, then you will see the Start Publishing button. This is where you can check your camera and microphone settings and go live. If you are doing a live Q&A in a pre-recorded presentation at the end, then you will see a Mixin content bar at the bottom of the screen instead.

This is what a Collab Space screen would look like, note that they can look different depending on the design and layout your event host chooses. Learn more about the Collab Space features in this article.
3️⃣ If you are ever unsure where you have to present, simply speak to your event organiser and they will be able to point you in the right direction as well as provide any additional guidance.
