You are ready to login but not sure how? Follow our guide below to get you started on how to find your login page, what details to use to login with and how to find your way around the virtual event hosted on the iVent platform.
Entering and leaving the event
Follow the link that you would have been provided in the registration confirmation email, welcome email or a reminder email. The link would look something like this: https://xxx.online-event.co. Your specific event URL will be provided which will replace the xxx's.
Username - simply enter the email address you have registered with, that email address would be associated with your account.
Password – enter the password you entered when registering. Passwords must meet minimum security requirements. If you enter a password that does not, the system will let you know what you need to change.
Forgotten or lost password? – at the login page, click on the Forgotten password link and enter your email address. You would need to check your email inbox to access the password reset link that you will receive within minutes.
Guest mode - if guest access is being used, you may be able to access parts of the event without needing to be registered. This will include visiting booths and viewing some webcasts. However, to download content and to participate in live chat you will be asked to either login or register.
Welcome video - on entering the event, a welcome video may automatically play. You can expand this to watch it in full screen and replay it at any time.
🤔 Key areas to remember
Not all events include all of the below mentioned areas, but these are commonly used by a lot of virtual events hosted on the iVent platform. You may also notice that your event may not call these areas in the exact same way, however these are the common names that you may find in the communications from the event host.
Auditorium Visit this area to watch webcast presentations and some videos (see section on Participating in Presentations). |
Networking Lounge Here you can participate in live chat, comment on discussion subjects and read FAQs and respond to polls. You may comment on the poll results. Additionally, you can access social media feeds. |
Resources View useful documentation, links and videos which can also be downloaded or added to your event bag. |
Help Desk You may also find a Help Desk when logging into the event. They are often labelled as 'Help Desk' and are managed by the event organiser. Not all events include them, but if you see one then that is a good place where you ask any questions about the event or how to use the iVent platform. |
Exhibition Hall This is where you will find most of the booths where exhibitors will showcase their products, services and more. You can visit each booth and have a direct chat with the exhibitor through live chat or even join a video meeting if they have one available. |
